Literacy Boost Uganda: midline report

Submitted by admin on
Abstract

The Literacy Boost program is an intervention focused on working with teachers and communities to improve children’s reading skills. The Literacy Boost Uganda Midline Report examines the results of a student background survey and reading assessment conducted in February and March, 2012. The survey and reading assessment covered 533 3rd grade students (Primary 3) in 18 Literacy Boost-supported CHANCE centers and 8 government comparison schools in the Amuru and Nwoya districts of northern Uganda. The data gathered from these schools is analyzed in part compared to a previous baseline assessment conducted in July 2010.
