Policies and strategies to enhance the quality of early childhood educators

Abstract

This report highlights the challenges associated with producing, attracting, and retaining well-trained early childhood educators. Examples from four countries/regions (Brazil, China, East Africa [Kenya, Uganda, Zanzibar], and Poland) are included, illustrating how policies and/or initiatives related to early childhood teacher/carer education have addressed some of these challenges in the past decade.
