The Future is now: education for children in countries affected by conflict

Submitted by admin on
Abstract

More than half of all children who are out of school live in conflict-affected fragile states. What are the challenges to getting them into school? And what needs to be done? Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future campaign was launched in 2006 to get children in countries affected by conflict into school. In four years, the campaign has succeeded in getting 1.4 million children into school and improved the quality of education for more than 10 million children. “The Future is Now” looks at how more children can access education, how education quality can be improved anod how education must be recognised as part of emergency response.
