Enviado por admin em
Abstract

In view of the need to understand in more detail the gaps between indigenous and non-indigenous students in Latin America, OREALC/UNESCO Santiago, through the Latin American Laboratory for Quality Assessment, proposed to deepen the analysis of inequalities and conditions associated with these disadvantages. To this end, a study was carried out. The present document synthetizes the main lessons and recommendations of that study, 'Inequity in learning achievement among indigenous students in Latin America: What does TERCE tell us?'; it also shows some context data of the indigenous population in the region and reflections on the challenges faced by evaluation systems to understand the reality of this population.
