Preparing for life in a digital world: IEA International Computer and Information Literacy Study 2018 international report

Enviado por admin em
Abstract

Effective use of information and communication technologies (ICT) is an imperative for successful participation in an increasingly digital world. Internationally, schools are responding to the need to provide young people with the requisite digital participatory competencies. But how well are these competencies being developed? The IEA International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) seeks to answer this question. This report on ICILS 2018 presents the outcomes of student's computer and information literacy and computational thinking at the international level and provides valuable information on the contexts in which they are taught and learned. The study also yields insights into how students and teachers use ICT in their daily lives and their views on the impact of ICT in society.
