Re-imagining the future education management information systems, beyond head counts: leveraging data systems to support inclusive and effective learning for all

Enviado por admin em
Abstract

As a follow-up to the 2018 International Conference on EMIS, UNESCO hosted a three-day webinar on re-imagining the futures of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS). With around 3000 cumulated participants over Zoom and YouTube, the event seminar sessions brought together policy makers and data experts from Member States, international and regional organizations, and a number of private sector partners of the Global Education Coalition to stimulate the debate about what is needed from educational data systems and how future EMIS can meet rising expectations. The event’s three days were thematically organized around COVID-19 experience sharing, looking into the future of EMIS, and building an EMIS community of practice. The seminar aimed to share lessons learned during the COVID-19 crisis and to stimulate a debate on the future of Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) by exploring ways to optimize existing systems integrating new technologies and innovations.
