Abstract
The formative study aimed to establish how past learning assessments have been used to inform policy reforms and practices in Tanzania. It was also important to establish the barriers and enablers for evidence-based decision making with the objective being to inform the utilisation of the Assessment of Life Skills and Values in East Africa (ALiVE) findings along implementing the Adapting Assessment into Policy and Learning (ADAPT) project.
