How to face the learning crisis in Latin America? An overview of public policy recommendations: evidence from the Regional Comparative and Explanatory Studies of Latin-American Laboratory for Assessment of the Quality of Education (LLECE)

Abstract

This document is a synthesis of findings and recommendations that LLECE has developed and proposed in recent years. In the first place, it focuses on the relationship of the countries' curricula with the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and its linkage with subjects such as education for world citizenship and education for sustainable development. In the second place, it presents the main lessons and recommendations, social, economic, political and cultural, emerging from the analysis of the main factors associated with learning outcomes according to ERCE’s regional assessment.
