Submitted by admin on
Abstract

This study examined the perceptions of teachers around reading instruction in Arabic, and how these perceptions influence their practices. The main research questions were: What are the attitudes that have the greatest influence on the reading instructional methods in the early grades? How do these perceptions impact the professional development of teachers? How do teachers respond to questions about language use in the classroom? Are they receptive to teaching reading supported by the local languages?
