Enviado por admin em
Abstract

This resource is designed to assist teachers to implement the evidence-based ‘What works best’ themes in What works best: 2020 update (Centre for Education Statistics and Evaluation 2020). It is intended to be a practical resource that provides strategies to support teachers translate theory into practice and supports the NSW Department of Education school improvement strategy. The eight themes in this guide – high expectations, explicit teaching, effective feedback, use of data to inform practice, assessment, classroom management, wellbeing and collaboration – provide a framework for teachers to connect students with the curriculum and to improve student achievement and skills. When all teachers in all classrooms implement effective teaching practices consistently, all students have access to teaching and learning that improves their outcomes.
