Abstract
Mexico performs below the OECD average in science (416 score points), reading (423 score points) and mathematics (408 score points). In all three domains, less than 1% of students in Mexico are top performers. The average science performance of 15-year-old students in Mexico did not change significantly since 2006, when science was the main domain assessed. In reading, performance has remained stable since 2009. Mathematics performance improved by 5 score points every three years, on average, between 2003 and 2015.
