Toolkit for disability-inclusive education sector planning

Submitted by admin on
Abstract

Schools should be prepared to welcome children with disabilities. To do so, they require a supply of inclusive teachers, infrastructure, and learning materials, which are accompanied by a quality curriculum, learning support, and assessment processes. Furthermore, schools need to operate within a suitable enabling environment: laws and policies, leadership and management, data systems, and financing models should clearly address and reflect the specific needs of children with disabilities. This toolkit aims to support ministry officials, leaders, and practitioners to address these issues in their context.
