Malawi Literacy Boost 2009: year 1 report

Abstract

The Literacy Boost program is an intervention focused on working with teachers and communities to improve children’s reading skills. In Malawi in 2009, the Save the Children Basic Education Team followed the reading skills development of 234 Standard 2 and 222 Standard 4 pupils in Literacy Boost and Comparison schools during the school year. This reports examines the impact of Literacy Boost on students' reading skills after one year of Literacy Boost programming.
